Bad Move.

After being over thirty days late my things arrived. I am missing 2 boxes,1 sofa , 1 chair I now have 2 broken lamps , 1 broken table, 2 china closets that have damaged bottoms from being moved with a hand truck instead of a furniture dolly,  2 boxes of chine completely smashed every dish bowl and cup broken even my ironing board is bent. ( I don't know how they managed that.) I still have about 10 boxes to open but its not looking good since they also look crushed and torn. This company is very unprofessional and should never be used. They must be stopped. So please pass this on. One more thing they don't have regular employees but hire them from CraigsList when they get in to town for loading and unloading so you don't who your letting into your home.    .

Long-distance move from Connecticut to New York

Great job Certified Relocations!

I was concerned with the below reviews but I spoke with the owner and she told me that they are fake, made up from a couple ex employees trying to destroy her company, glad I listened to her. She was so sweet and here's my story. I used Certified Relocations for my move from CT to NY. They did a fantastic job packing and the workers worked so hard I was very impressed. They were also very kind to me and my little son. I received my delivery the next day. I was very happy with their services I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Texas

You get what you pay for-HORRIBLE.

I got a bid from Certified Relocations via internet and went with them for the price. BIG BIG BIG mistake. First, they showed up 2 hours late the day of the move.  Next, they hired people off of Craigs list to help with the move and these people didn't know how to pack.  I have thousands of dollars worth of damaged items including dented washer and dryer, stained and scratched furniture. broken dishes, etc.  Also they are supposed to put together what they take apart and they did not because they didn't know how. On arrival they didn't do things in order and left things all over the house, they should have done furniture first and then put boxes on top of furniture, etc and they didn't do that. I cannot put into words how terrible this company is. I will be reporting them to the BBB for sure. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Washington DC to Washington

Horrible Experience.

Never, ever again. They missed first pick-up day which was a disaster as my son waited 6hrs with no call while I was in a plane flying to new location - we missed the second date & finally connected the 3rd time. When items were delivered the boxes were crushed; not numbered and cash was the only option to pay (I had been pre-warned) One piece of furniture was totally smashed - the drawers were intact but the frame was in pieces - it was a special design and not replaceable. My heavy crystal bowl was carefully packed and marked fragile yet it was cracked & chipped. The ladle of an antique set was broken and more. Finally, I did "not" read the fine print - the replacement value is only good for furniture and is $.60 per pound so they've calculated claim value at $54.00. Since I packed myself, none of the other items are covered. Not covering things I packed myself would be understandable if everything had not been delivered as if a piano or safe had been on top of the boxes crushing most of them.

Service cost: $4000

Official company response

We are sorry to hear that you had issue with your move. you must understand that packed by owner boxes are not always packed right and when stacked in the truck can get crushed since we didn't pack the boxes for you we can't know how the contents inside are packed. regarding valuation it is stated in several place that if you don't purchase additional insurance you will automaticly get our basic valuation which is 60 cent per pound . please call our customer service department so we can help you resolve your issues with your move 800-526-9928 ext 2.

Do Not Use This Company!!

Beware! Do not use this company! They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and I have moved a lot they promise you one thing and never follow through, they never return phone calls, you will get a different answer from every person you talk to there. The owner of the company is the worst scammer ever! Claims he wants to help you and do the best for you, but in turn never follows through. Does not answer his phone and never returns phone calls. Tells you specific dates of arrival and then you never hear from him when your shipment never left! Do yourself a favor, avoid this company!! They are full of BS! You would not believe the stories I have heard from different people from this company, the excuses are overwhelming! They do not even deserve 1/2 a star, they deserve a negative star!

Update from Oct 15, 2012: Beware of this company! They are scammers! I am still fighting with their anthem ins. Claim co. Now they claim they do not handle arbitration certified relocations ruined all my furniture, all of my boxes were delivered damaged it looks like they left all of my belongings outside in the rain, my king mattress is destroyed they are not compensating me for anything! They suck! Do not use them, you will regret it.

Beware !! Check Reviews !!

Check other sites for additional ratings. Check # of time license revoked. John in sales has excellent phone skills and is very reassuring ..Until pick up time. John then has nothing to do with all the changes and problems. He then lies, does not return calls and blames dispatch. Promises of same day delivery on a small job, turn into 4 days without furniture and clothing. Had to buy cloths for new job, because I had no idea when I would get my items! Every day was full of stress not getting the truth or return calls. You should spend a little more for a company that does what they say. Things were unloaded at the warehouse and damaged. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND !!

Good service.

Out standing experience after getting helpful support with Certified Relocations in Rochelle company in Park, NJ . It was an absolute pleasure to work with this company. Every one from the moving coordinator to the actual movers were smart and courteous from the start until our move was completed. This company was extremely helpful during my move in various ways. Their customer service department was very responsive and courteous from the first time I called in until my move was completed.I can't imagine the last time I was so comfortable with moving. My things arrived in a timely manor and they even set up my furniture for me.This was the smoothest relocation I have had by far. Great job Statewide and thank you! They are amazing. So I truly recommend their services.

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Arizona

Do not believe good reviews - scammmers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS, THEY ARE LIES!!   I should have read yelp and not the many FALSE (Padded) reviews on other sites, as companies can and do hire people to 'give positive reviews' all at once to make a company seem reputable.   I hired this company on 5/29/15 to move my things from NJ to AZ. The sales person Michelle was very friendly and explained costs and such (They INITIALLY were cheaper than everyone else). I explained several times what I wanted moved and we even added extra boxes, just to be sure and I received an initial price of less than $2000. I also explained (several times) that my flat screen TV was NOT the panel type, but a newer 'stand on the floor type. We ended up with a list of goods and 50 boxes.   When the movers showed up, their list did not show my love seat and that the TV was not a flat panel. I explained that BOTH were to be listed correctly already. So, they told me it was an EXTRA $200 to ship this (due to volume). I disputed the extra cost, as I had far LESS volume due to having only 21 boxes (mixed between large and medium). They refused to budge and I was at crunch time and needed to be moved and had to pay them.
I called the company the following day and spoke to Michelle and she was very rude and nasty and tried to say I did not talk about the TV nor did I discuss the love seat. She then cut me off and sent me to 'customer service".   I spoke to customer service and the person "Lee" was very helpful (the only person in the office who is helpful) and said he would speak to the owner. A couple days later he called me back and the owner was willing to only give me $100 as long as I signed some form. Well, when I read the form, it stipulated if I wanted the $100, then I would have to GIVE UP all my RIGHTS as a consumer, not be able to sue them or dispute them in court NOR say anything negative about their company in any way!! I REFUSED to sign this and told them so and if the company wished to give me the refund without signing it..fine..if not then so be it.   When the movers delivered my goods , I was missing 3 BOXES and the Hutch that goes on top of my ANTIQUE dresser.
I called the company several times over the following weeks asking where my missing property was and they 'STONE WALL' me with excuses 'they are looking for it', it is the busy season and they have shipments, etc " At this time, they still refuse to find my missing property.     Meanwhile, they had NO problem demanding they get paid IN FULL (the last portion some $800+) prior to unloading the truck and IT HAS TO BE CASH..which now I see, is because of how SHADY they are!!
When I complained to the BBB, the company lied and tried to alter facts (thank goodness I saved the email correspondence between myself and the company) to make it LOOK like they were 'making good' on my complaints.
I will be taking this to govt authority (IE - court), because they are fraudulent and the owners need to be heavily fined and/or put in jail!!  .

Long-distance move from New York to Texas

Nightmare.

There are bad movers everywhere but with them it all depends on who they disbatch.  PLUS, wheneverything goes wrong you learn a lot about the company with how "corporate" handels the mistake and our story was a disaster.   Here is the formal letter we have written to corporate who is now avoiding us as they do not want to take responsibility for their negligiance (there is stuff insurance is suppose to cover and then there is flat out negligiance).  If you choose to go with them (yes the price is one of the lowest for a reason) don't think the same won't happen to you.   Lee and Certified Relocation team: I wanted to follow up in writing with what we had discussed on the phone.  Your supervisor had asked you to have me feel out the insurance claim package you had sent over.  He mentioned knowing we "opted out" of additional coverage beyond the $0.60 per pound because we had a 3rd party (who you guys recommended) cover the umbrella insurance. The 3rd party covered a handful of the items damaged by your company but will NOT cover the Tempurpedic because you guys upon moving did not cover it as instructed (with materials we had provided) instead folding the mattress in half. You have received the multiple pictures of the damage and wish for us to move forward with your insurance claim package knowing we will only get the max of $0.60 per pound (estimated weight will be 150 lbs thus $90) but you mention your supervisor will work with us after the claim to make it "better"By choosing this route you fully understand the following:* A claim on your insurance will go in effect (possibly raising your insurance) for a $90 claim.* Your company will be served a formal lawsuit by our lawyers.  Thus taking time and money to resolve in the court of law. * The BBB will be contacted and a formal complaint filed* All social media outlets (yelp, movers.com,etc) will receive reviews outlining this experience. Before we hung up I asked if I could speak with your supervisor personally, to see if we could solve this for all parties in a simple manner and you told me,"My supervisor is out of town, but he does not talk to customers, that is why he hired me."If I do not hear back anything by 5pm EST Monday on steps to resolve this in a more civil manner, we will move forward with the steps mentioned above.
